Heel Pain Relief
Often referred to as the “Jogger’s heel”, plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain. It has been estimated that about 10 percent of people will suffer from the condition at least once during their lifetime.

Most heel pain does NOT require surgery, and in many cases relief can be achieved quickly with conservative treatment.
Orthotics
Custom orthotics have been used for decades to relieve discomfort from a variety of foot conditions.  

We are able to fabricate custom orthotics that are comfortable and effective.  

Our wide variety of custom orthotics ensure a great fit in almost any of your shoes.
Preventative Care
Many of us take our feet for granted, but if you have diabetes or poor circulation, proper foot care is a must. 

Routine examination and foot care by a podiatrist is an absolute necessity for those individuals who have the highest risk of infection, ulceration, and limb loss.
Meet Dr. Lembo
Dr. Thomas Lembo is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, Board Certified by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry for Primary Care in Podiatric Medicine, and a member of the medical staff of Hackensack Meridian Southern Ocean Medial Center.

Dr. Lembo obtained his undergraduate pre-medicine degree from Muhlenberg College, where he graduated with honors in completing a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Lembo went on to attend and graduate from the W.M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, located in Chicago, IL, obtaining his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. He was then selected to attend one of the top podiatric residency programs at St. Barnabas Medical Center located in Livingston, NJ. During his 3 years as a resident of St. Barnabas, Dr. Lembo received extensive training in foot care, wound care, sports medicine, and limb salvage. 

Dr. Lembo is a Union County, New Jersey native, and currently lives in Burlington County with his wife, two sons, and their dog.

Dr. Lembo has proudly provided foot care to the Manahawkin, Barnegat, Little Egg Harbor, and Long Beach Island areas since 2004. Dr. Lembo’s practice, Coastal Foot & Ankle, is located conveniently within The Health Village of Stafford Township, NJ.
Our Location
Our office is conveniently located on the second floor of the Health Village building in Manahawkin, NJ. 

The Health Village is located on the eastbound side of Route 72 West, approximately 3 miles west of the Garden State Parkway and Southern Ocean County Medical Center.

Our location is easily accessible from the communities of Stafford Township, Barnegat, Little Egg Harbor, and Long Beach Island.

The Health Village is a three-story brick and glass medical professional office building.  It is easily visible from Route 72, and can be distinguished by the large covered parking structures adjacent to the building.

  We always recommend that you first check with your insurance to confirm that our office, Coastal Foot & Ankle, and/or our doctor, Thomas Lembo Jr DPM, are indeed considered in-network for your plan. We also offer out of network services for those who have this type of benefit.
Additionally, it is imperative that you investigate if your plan requires you to obtain a referral from your Primary care physician to be seen by a specialist. This is your responsibility ultimately, and your insurance will not cover your visit if a referral is not obtained.
